project life 2014 – week 8

week 8 sneak

Welcome to Project Life – Week 8! Also known as my birthday week. Well, truth be told, I refer to it as my birthday month and like to stretch out the celebrations as long as possible! There really is just something special about a day that is just your own. I used the new Plus One Edition Mini Kit on these pages, I adore it! Bright, colorful, and happy with some fabulous script throughout it.

  1. Happy birthday! 🙂 I love the big balloon photo. How did you get the nice blue background? I have been looking at my photos lately and noticing how busy the backgrounds are. I need to declutter! 🙂

    • Hi Jenny! Thank you! I actually carried the balloons outside. I held them up high with one hand so that there was only sky as the background. Then I held my camera with the other and shot the photo. LOL! I hear you on the photos. As simple as my layouts are sometimes I feel like I need to declutter too! : ) Thanks again!

    • Hi Jo! For the multi-pocket photo I open the original photo in Photoshop Elements. For this one, since I knew I wanted it to spread across those three pockets I cropped it to 12 x 6. Then from that cropped version I cropped it to three 4 x 6 photos for easy (and cheaper!) printing. If you still have a question, feel free to ask! : )

  2. I love the balloon photo and the tulips. Your pages are super bright and attractive. I love how you always incorporate different camera angles and perspectives. ❤ Love this, as always.

  3. I so love that you’ve included the wonderful images and memories of your special day in your Project Life! Often we forget ourselves when memory keeping with others in mind. This kit is bright and beautiful, perfectly fitting YOU!
